What We Believe and Know Is True

We believe that the God of the Bible is the only one and true God revealed eternally to everyone. He is, He was, and He always will be. He is the author and creator of the Heavens and the Earth and everything in them. He is known as Father, came as the Son and lives in believers as the Holy Spirit.

Genesis 1:1, Matthew 3:16–17, John 1:1-2, Acts 2:32–33

Jesus Christ was born of a virgin by miraculous conception and lived a sinless life. He is the Son of God who came to earth as fully God and fully man. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He paid a sin debt we could not pay. He arose from the grave after three days proving His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory where He is the only mediator between God and people, and will return again to earth. He will reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is still alive and changing lives today!

Colossians 2:9, Luke 1:30-35, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, 2 Corinthians 5:21

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a comforter and a guide for every born-again believer. He actually lives inside of us, His Temple, and does more for us than we can imagine. The Holy Spirit provides us with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. We are commanded to live in the Spirit and not our own flesh, so we Christian seek to live under Holy Spirit’s control daily.
 John 16:8, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 1:13-14

Salvation is a gift. It’s free. It’s God’s grace, not your good deeds. Jesus’ death allows your sins – all of them – to be forgiven. Wiped out, canceled, deleted, erased, forgiven – you get the picture. The gift is free; all you have to do is accept it. Salvation is God’s way of spending eternity with His children. Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness, and confessing with our mouths that Jesus alone is Lord. God assures us through His Word that genuine salvation is eternally secure. We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Colossians 2:6, Acts 2:38

Because we have become adopted heirs to God’s kingdom through Jesus Christ, salvation is received and maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace of God that gives believers the assurance of salvation. No power in the universe can separate God’s children from Him. To suggest otherwise is to suggest that God’s power is limited, or that His grace is insufficient.

John 1:14, Romans 11:6, 1 Corinthians 16:23, 2 Timothy 1:9

The Bible

The Bible is the book God wrote for us. It’s true, it’s accurate, it’s authentic and it’s absolutely applicable to our lives today.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Corinthians 15:1-28

We are made in God’s image. We are his prized creation. God’s plan is for us to become like Him in character. This godly character only comes through the grace of Jesus Christ. We all have a rebellious spirit. Romans 3:23 says we all fall short of the glory of God. Sin separates people from God. As a result of our sin, every person is in need of a savior. Sin has affected all things in this world. Although we are not as bad as we could be, every fiber of our being has been corrupted by sin.

We’re not perfect. We’ve sinned — all of us. We need help. We need Him. We also need each other, and that’s what Church is all about.

Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Acts 4:12

The Church

We believe that we, as the Church, are the body of Christ and that every member serves his fellow man and community in tangible ways. We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live. We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively. The best definition of the Church is spoken by Jesus Christ and is found in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Matthew 18:20, Romans 12:5, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

Baptism & Communion

We practice both water immersion baptism and communion as taught by the Bible. Baptism is a public act used to identify our lives with Christ: first with His death and then with His resurrection into new life. Communion is a time of remembering Christ’s sacrifice and redemption offered so beautifully for us.

1 Peter 3:21, Luke 3:16–22, Acts 2:42-46, John 6:48-51

You have been uniquely created by God, for His purpose. He loves you so deeply that He sent his only Son to walk with you, teach you, and ultimately sacrifice His life for you. God has a plan for you and you are essential as a member of the body of Christ. You are God’s masterpiece; you are needed, you are wanted, you are loved. As you grow more and more as a Christian you will truly see how special and unique you are to God.

Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:14, Ephesians 2:10
